I find it amazing that we recieve e-mails asking how old you need to be to see bands at Sugarcubes.  We are a nightclub, the answer is always over 18.

Welcome back to the Sugarcubes Nightclub website. I bet you never even missed it.

First of all I must point out that the site has only just gone live again (5th June 2007), so all the information is out of date.

I will be updating the site as fast as my time allows me. So until you see a message on this page saying the site is up to date, don't take what you read as being current or correct.

Update (18th October 2007)

Okay so I forgot the password to our server account and haven't been able to make any changes to the website!

You can stop laughing now... I will finally get this website upto date, but to be honest I think most people just check out our myspace page.

So obviously we have the Halloween party on Wednesday 31st October.  For the second time the Metal Night has kind of not happened.  I'm not sure why but the date(s) creep up on me and the staff, and we never get anything sorted.  So a big sorry to the Metal crowd, I will get something sorted for the Xmas break.

The photo gallery has ended up split across this site and our myspace.  All the new photo's are on myspace, I will be adding those photo's to this site and getting my camera out for halloween.  You have been warned, Dj with a camera.

Age ID Cards

A change in the law and the way pubs and clubs approach validating an individuals age now means that if any member of the clubs staff think you look under 21yrs of age, you will be asked for ID.  If you cannot provide valid ID on request you will be refused entry, or asked to leave the club.

I know it sounds a little heavy handed, but the changes in the law mean we could face instant closure if anyone is identified as being underage.

And just to get the point across to the slow and plain stupid, YOU MUST BRING ID EVERY NIGHT.  Okay do you understand?  You can't bring it once and think that's it sorted, you must have ID every time you enter, this and any other venue or bar.

Valid ID must be a government supported ID card that has your photo.  Such ID would be a driving license, etc.

STUDENT UNION CARDS ARE NOT VALID.
